Ever since it was able to re-open again on July 4th, Wolf at the Door on Thomas Street has been bashing out the tacos – and we will be forever grateful to them for it.
Those little discs of joy, topped with all manner of delicious creatons have satisfied us through many a lunch time and after work drinks, but now it’s time for the return of something else – the Bao Bun!
Starting at just £1, the selection at Wolf at the Door is impressive, with their vegan Cauliflower Sharawarma (£1), Bacon Cheese Bao-ger (£1.50), Kimchi Aubergine (£2) and my personal favourite – the Bunny Jackson’s Buffalo Chicken Bao (£2) with Bunny’s hot sauce chicken, celery and blue cheese dressing.
They’ve also added a new bao to the menu – the Holy Crab! (£2) a special Holy Crab seasoned patty, created by the street food legends themselves. Can’t wait to try that one!
The Bao Buns are available on the menu from Friday 4th September. Enjoy alongside one of their great beers on draft or perhaps some natural wine. Or just buy a ton of ’em and enjoy alongside a load of cocktails and end up in a gutter somewhere at 2am. That’s what I’ll be doing.
