The shortlist for the 2025 Manchester Food and Drink Awards has been confirmed, and voting is now open in the public vote categories.

Up for Best Restaurant this year are the likes of Urmston’s Restaurant Örme, Higher Ground, Where The Light Gets In, mana, The Pearl in Prestwich, Adam Reid at The French and newcomer Skof.

Meanwhile, Chef of the Year will be chosen from Iain Thomas from The Pearl, Joe Otway from Higher Ground, Skof’s Tom Barnes, Sam Grainger from Medlock Canteen, Patrick Withington of Erst, OSMA’s Danielle Heron, Sam Buckley from Where The Light Gets In) and Another Hand’s Julian Pizer.

Other categories up for the public vote include Affordable Eats Venue of the Year, Food and Drink Retailer of the Year, Food Trader of the Year and Foodie Neighbourhood of the Year.

This year’s awards will be presented at New Century on Monday 27 January, with public voting closing at midnight on 10 January.
