Reggae Land, JBM Music & Habitat are excited to announce the performance of internationally celebrated Dancehall DJ, Beenie Man, at the Albert Hall on Friday, 11th August. Having released his first single at the age of eight, Beenie Man has since dominated the reggae scene with an array of hits through the ’90s and a continuous stream of albums, such as 1995’s Blessed. Despite his tough gangster persona, he has managed to blend elements of lover’s rock and humour into his music. The Jamaican-born artist’s commitment to his craft has been unwavering, as evidenced by his recent releases, including 2016’s Unstoppable and the 2022 party anthem ‘Want Some.’ From his early beginnings winning the national Teeny Talent contest to his collaborations with top island producers and his signing with Virgin Records in the US, Beenie Man’s career has been a testament to his talent and tenacity. His eclectic style, including his dancehall roots and involvement in film, have earned him widespread recognition. As he moves into the 2020s, Beenie Man continues to leave a significant mark on the music scene with standout singles such as ‘Self Love,’ ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ with Vybz Kartel, and ‘Love your Mother,’ ‘So Me Stay,’ and ‘Want Some.’
