Live From The Grill returns to Deansgate Square at New Jackson on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September for a weekend of mouthwatering BBQ dishes, alongside live performances from some of Manchester’s best musical talent.
On the grills this year is Hawksmoor, who are serving ‘the ultimate steak sandwich’. Knights Caribbean BBQ are back with jerk chicken and curry dishes and Kitten will be firing up their robata grill with Wagyu burgers and miso chicken sando’s to get stuck into. Chit ‘n’ Chaat will offer Indian street food options, while Gooey brings the dessert.
Expect day-long parties from 12pm – 8pm, with Saturday dedicated to the city’s top DJ talent from collectives Habitat, G2 & Friends, Rare Groove and Funkademia, while Sunday shifts to live performances, curated by Gigpig, featuring acts like jazz/soul singer Kemani Anderson with his full band, Yemi Bolatiwa, blues duo Corduroy Moustache, Ruby J and Grace Kelly, as well as a set from DJ Lenny.
Manchester’s Finest Subscribers get exclusive discounts at all the bars across both days with access to an express Beer Bar queue. There’s also going to be a dedicated Spritz bar by Salvi’s and a special cocktail menu created by Spirit of Manchester Distillery.
Attendance is free with a ticket, but be sure to register in advance.
We expect it to be busy across both days, especially if the weather does us a solid! To ensure entry, it’s best to arrive early to avoid the queues, although people will be arriving and leaving throughout the day so capacity will fluctuate. It’s first come, first served – having a ticket doesn’t guarantee entry. Once the square is full, we’ll be operating a one-in, one-out entry system.
