Released 30 years ago by a then 20-year-old Nas, Illmatic is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time, cementing Brooklyn-born Nasir Jones as one of the greatest rappers to do it. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of this so seminal of debut albums – produced by icons like DJ Premier, Large Professor, Peter Rock and Q-Tip – Nas will head out on tour, performing Illmatic in full. He plays Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on Sunday 10 November 2024.
