Pride In Trafford returns to the Waterside in Sale this May for the seventh annual festival of LGBTQ+ life, creativity and community. This year, the celebration expands beyond Sale to include events in Altrincham – making it the most exciting and inclusive year yet. The festival offers a dynamic space where everyone can come together to celebrate love, identity and diversity.
Brand new for this year’s event is the Block Party Weekender, a two-day celebration to close the festival, championing inclusivity and unity with live performances, family activities and comedy on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 May.
Elsewhere, this year’s event has a particular focus on community engagement and developing new queer talent, starting with The Queer Creatives Assembly, a free event open to all who wish to connect, collaborate, and celebrate with other LGBTQ+ creatives from Greater Manchester. There will also be two bold and joyous queer shows premiering at this year’s festival, A Northern Tr*nny Hootenanny and I Was Dancing in the Lesbian Bar, taking to the stage at Waterside.
