Historic Salford landmark, The Adelphi Lads Club is finally reopening its doors on Friday 17th June for a summer of entertainment with a music policy that reflects the cities it borders with a plethora of big names, local heroes and DIY culture.
The Adelphi Lads Club will be open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the weekend kicking off with a Thursday night residency from Reform Radio featuring the likes of Clara, MICA UK, Good custard, Jasmine Rowland, Jon Roche, Living Room Dance Club, Bobby James, Creating Patterns, Doodle and Give It Up DJ’s this June.
Every Saturday throughout summer the Club will play host to all-day parties from the largest regional promoters and underground chilled sets from globally recognised DJ’s.
Adelphi Lads Club has also become the new home for ShinDigger’s events – having relocated from Talbot Mill – with a series of Saturday day-parties programmed throughout August with big named DJs yet to be announced.
In the opening month expect performances from acts such as DRS & Friends, Helen K, Lil’ Minx, Metrodome, Out of the Quiet, Atiké, Mas O Menos Records, Meme Gold and Veba.
The venue will be the perfect space to enjoy the Mancunian summer, with the Adelphi Garden offering a sun drenched green oasis benefitting from all day sunshine and an outdoor DJ booth. Inspired by the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, the Adelphi Garden’s blue walls and foliage create the perfect backdrop for the programmed entertainment with a bedouin inspired tent to seek shade and shelter from Manchester’s famously changeable weather.
The interior pays homage to the Adelphi Lads Club of old; industrial and raw with original exposed brickwork and floor tiles. The custom concrete bar is offset by the repurposed leather seating salvaged from venues around the UK.
The Adelphi Lads Club will be open Thursdays 4pm – 11pm, Fridays 4pm to late, Saturdays 12pm to late with the weekend continuing on Sundays 4pm – 11pm.
The Adelphi Lads Club officially opens on Friday June 17th, at 6pm.
