Retail mix on The Avenue blooms with the arrival of David Wayman Flowers

Spinningfields’ luxury retail quarter, The Avenue, has welcomed a new tenant into the mix, with concept florist David Wayman moving in next to Oliver Sweeney, just in time for Valentine’s Day.David’s first store will concentrate on high-end artisan floristry, using traditional methods and techniques combined with modern day designs. The shop will offer the very best of seasonal flowers, focussing on floral vintage favourites such as roses, lilies and stunning english foliages all luxuriously packaged.

David works in all of the best hotels, bars, restaurants, offices and private homes in Manchester, covered corporate events, fashion shows and weddings and is looking to expand with the opening of the store.

His store will be the 14th to open on The Avenue, which is already home to a number of luxury retailers and restaurants, including Emporio Armani, Mulberry, Flannels, Calvin Klein, Australasia and The Oast House.

David said; “The time is right to open my first store and I know The Avenue is the perfect location. There are some incredible brands and it’s great to be associated with them. Spinningfields has got a fantastic vibe and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I’m looking forward to getting started!”

Michael Ingall, Chief Executive of Allied London, said; “David Wayman has been a successful florist in Manchester for many years and we’re delighted he chose The Avenue as the location for his first store. With all 14 units on The Avenue now leased, we will be focussing our attentions on creating the right tenant mix for our additional retail offering, The Avenue North.”

Deliveries for Valentine’s Day within the Spinningfields district will be free of charge. Champagne and chocolates will also be available in store.
