Amber’s is to open its doors on Sundays, with the aim to bring through new, up-and-coming local talent.
The new Manchester club, which doesn’t allow cameras and opened on Oxford Road at the end of last year, will be throwing open its doors for the new night on 9 February.
Called After’s at Ambers, it will run from 4pm to 2am every week, mixing new talent with sets from residents, unannounced special guests and brand takeovers.
“We’ve been absolutely inundated with DJs sending us mixes, asking how to get involved at the club. With Afters at Amber’s, aspiring DJs now have a tangible way to get in touch and have a chance to play at the venue,” said Jeremy Abbott, director at Amber’s.

“We want to make sure that the local music community has a space to showcase their talent and a place to start their careers, so we can’t wait to hear what’s sent in.”
DJs can send in mixes to afters@ambers.club for their chance to play at the venue.
They’ll also be introducing an industry discount for hospitality employees, who will be able to get reduced price entry and drinks every week.
“We believe that Manchester’s hospitality industry is one of the most important in the country and we think that the people who power it should be supported and celebrated wherever possible,” Jeremy added.
Since launching in December, the club has welcomed the likes of Dan Shake, Cinthie, Pangaea, Prosumer and Tamo Sumo, alongside residents Abbott, Aletha, Zuri and co-founder Hutch.
