Debut single ‘Droner’

It’s often starts with a bassline. And even when it doesn’t, the fifth-gear atmosphere makes it feel like it does.
Holy Coves are gut busting, snarling blues influenced psych rockers. They’re early Smashing Pumpkins colliding with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s oil-slick grooves, Eagle of Death Metal’s sleazy rock ‘n’ roll and The Black Angels atmospherics. They’re live and on record simultaneously a tight machine and unabashed energy and raw power fusing driven amps and heavy distortion with a psychedelic, pitch-shifting tremolo; complimented with articulate song writing and meticulous structures. Holy Coves are like a beast that’s impossible to tame, a little like a runaway train carried with equal parts momentum and melody.
Holy Coves hail from the North Wales coast and their debut single, ‘Droner’, is produced by David Wrench (a member of Julian Cope’s The Black Sheep and producer to Bat For Lashes, British Sea Power and Race Horses). Recorded at Bryn Derwen Studios, with the foothills of Snowdonia looming large over epic landscapes as big as Holy Cove’s sound, the band were inspired to lock down additional tracks, the result is ‘The Droner EP’, from which their debut single is taken.
Both The Droner single and The Droner EP will both be available as downloads on Monday 14th February.
