Manchester’s hotly-tipped four-piece ‘The Rainband’
The Rainband are on the cusp of something major, according to the Manchester music fraternity including Rowetta and Liam Gallagher.
Their refreshing debut single “She’s A Rainbow” is released on June 27th, and is set to propel the band beyond the musical rubicon.
Band members of The Doves & Elbow have seen the band emerge over the past year, and have championed their cause; The Rainband cite both as major influences in sound as well as belief.
Having successfully completed a UK promo tour in March including supporting The Charlatans & Ocean Colour Scene, The Rainband have built their fan base traditionally by putting in the hard yards of touring.
Before they embark on their next tour (with Simple Minds), The Rainband have recently played some one-off gigs for Pretty Green fans in the Manchester store and it went down a storm, with people watching and listening from the street through the windows.
