DeLooze: London’s DeLooze blends dramatic, electronic post-punk, laced with gothic elements and classical instrumentation, which weave a dark yet delicate soundscape. Likened to Siouxsie Sioux, Kate Bush, PJ Harvey and Zola Jesus, the vocals are captivating and take us on a journey to a world that is both sexy and earthy, pure, yet dark. An enchanted world.
The Witch Hunt: A project by Leeds-based pairing Louisa Osborn and Chris Mulligan, the group’s grimy, sludgy output has been impressing the local music scene for the last few years. Essentially a garage blues two piece, there are shades of The Cramps here in the way that the band add a raw sense of menace to their disturbed riffs. The Witch Hunt sound like The Kills when they really were just two artists locked in a room to engage their emotional trauma with guitars and a drum machine. All stomping blues riffs and sneering vocals.
Factory Acts: Factory Acts are a Salford-based dark electro, post-punk tinged duo. They exist at the edge of the analogue-digital divide, sometimes dreaming, always dancing. Cork at heart. Musical bonds were forged following an afternoon of miming David Bowie album covers and playing lyric roulette with PJ Harvey songs.
Cherie Bebe: The North West’s sultriest burlesque performer, Cherie has performed for a wide range of burlesque evenings, festivals and corporate parties. Cherie also has a monthly residency at Manchester’s favourite jazz bar Matt & Phreds. Let your imagination run away with you as she takes to the stage.
Zoe Iqbal: Zoe is our adorable, quick-witted and hilarious MC for the night. Actress, standup comedian, writer, social commentator, this multi-tasking lady will be keeping us all in check.
