We’d like to draw your attention to a gig tomorrow night that should be very good. Expect soaring chords and anthemic choruses.
If you watch Made In Chelsea then fear not; we don’t make judgements based on how others choose to spend an evening. Better yet, you’ll probably already be aware of the mighty Young Kato, a band that appeared on the reality drama series when they played a London show. On the other hand, if you actively don’t tune in to that programme then we implore you not to let this association put you off.
The six piece have been compared to Friendly Fires, and it’s not hard to see why. An honest-to-goodness British indie band wearing influences ranging from electronica to rock on their sleeves, they marry mournful sounding lyricism with huge instrumental arrangements, and play Sound Control in Manchester tomorrow- June 6th, three days after their recent single, Something Real, was released. Highly recommended, full details can be found below these clips.
