Junkyard Golf Club have announced a new pop up course at Piccadilly Place and Tickets are on sale now!
The team behind Junkyard Golf Club have been scouring the UK for the most messed up and crazy junk for the last six weeks and has announced its return to the City on Manchester at a brand new home at Piccadilly Place, opposite Piccadilly train station, from August 11 for a five-month run up until Christmas.
The new location will feature two brand new nine-hole golf courses, called Pablo and Freida, along with three new bars and a second site for Bart’s Dog Kart, the first at the recently opened sell out permanent home of B.EAT Street.
FREIDA – IN DA CLUB – I say AYA, you say NAPA! Take a journey though nine holes of banging beats and small-town nightclub vibes. Dropping shots and moves on holes like ‘Straight Out Of Moston’ and ‘Tweed From Desire’, then putt away your sanity through our UK Garage-Garage, featuring stuff like Car-partfull Dodger. Finally, the now legendary UV rave room will have you going Moloko down in Acapulco. If you think you’d like being 18 and living in Reading in 2003, this is for you.
PABLO – POLLUTED PARADISE
The jungle is massive, booyaka, booyaka! Take an excursion into the unknown as you navigate nine holes of polluted paradise. A once tranquil wild world, now sullied by creeping humanization. Putt your way though the litter strewn jungle, around toxic tree frogs, past a deep cave bear wrestling pit and a Rihanna themed forest bathroom, until you reach the oil soaked ocean and Rio-On-Sea. Is it golf? Baby don’t hurt me. Don’t hurt me. No more.
Chris Legh, Junkyard Golf Club creative director said: “Mancs have gone mental for our pop up golf and we are now taking over a brand new space to make the holes even weirder, crazy and of course more party with three new bar concepts.”
Junkyard Golf Club first opened at The Great Northern late 2015 and since then has popped up twice again in 2016 and also took the concept to London with a pop up currently in operation at The Truman Brewery.
Junkyard Golf Club opens from 11am till midnight every day with a fully stocked bar, music and DJs.
Tickets are priced at £6 per person http://junkyardgolf.eventgenius.co.uk/ and can be played in pairs or groups of four, six and eight.
