Established early-summer 2024, despite its location in one of the busiest corners of Manchester for food and drink, Bruncho quickly made itself stand out from the crowd with its focus on Turkish specialities. A popular spot with locals and tourists alike, and in particular the Muslim community, all dishes are halal and made using the finest quality specialist ingredients, which you can’t often find elsewhere. Authentic Mediterranean cuisine that’s both healthy and flavoursome, regulars give two thumbs up for nutritional quality and taste, which, as we all know, isn’t always the case when it comes to eating out.

Menu-wise, this is the spot if you’re looking for classics from sunnier climes like Shakshuka made with sucuk, or Menemen served alongside padron peppers. However, staples from closer to home are also available at Bruncho. For example, the iconic full English breakfast or more refined eggs benedict. Or healthier choices such as simple-yet-tasty poached eggs. Then there are some truly unique options, like the incredible pistachio baklava French toast. And yes, it’s as good as it sounds. If not better.

Although Bruncho is focused on the most important meal of the day, customers can order well into the afternoon, and many options are best suited to lunch. Not least the pesto and mozzarella-packed focaccia — a big hit for very good reasons — and steak & eggs. Vegetarians and vegans, meanwhile, can punt for delicacies including hummus on the beach and chilli & lime. Beyond the bites, you’ll also find an incredible selection of teas and hot drinks here, including Turkey’s legendary coffee, iced matcha, raspberry fusion and even chocolate digestive tea. Finally, we also need to comment on the friendliness of this place, which gives an open-armed welcome to professionals looking for an informal meeting venue, kids, the thirsty, hungry, and even pets, making this a great spot for watching the tapestry of life in all its forms.
