Winning Project of the Year and the Design and Construction Award at the RICS North West Awards when it topped out in 2006, the Beetham Tower became Manchester’s tallest building and the tallest residential building in Europe after completion. An imposing skyscraper that preempted the skyline we see in our hometown today, the 23rd floor overhang is the most iconic feature of the design, and it’s here we find the impressive Cloud 23. Located at the top of the Hilton hotel, Cloud 23 can be quite literally in the clouds, or low hanging fog, at certain times of year, but for the most part offers jaw-dropping panoramas of central and Greater Manchester. The team here have won their fair share of mixology awards, and when the bar opened in many ways it was as groundbreaking as the building itself.
