Heading out in search of a new inking means embarking on an incredibly personal journey. One look at the body art created at Thomas Street Tattoo should be enough to convince anyone this team are ready to be part of any adventure with their customers, developing and producing exquisite unique pieces to adorn legs, arms, backs, chests, and anywhere else people might think to get themselves painted. In a city that has never been short on exceptional tattooists, this place still manages to stand out and make itself known through the high standard of work, incredible service, and open, welcoming attitude.

Or, to put all that another way: “We are a bespoke tattoo studio set in the heart of Manchester City Centre’s Northern Quarter, we have a diverse range of tattoo artists who are specialists in fine line, black and grey, Japanese, blackwork and dark skin. We welcome walk-ins for spontaneous clients from 11AM till 7PM every day of the week. Additionally, we offer piercing services during the same hours and days, and our piercers are well-established in ear curation. This means customers can choose from a wide range of custom jewellery for a truly personalised experience. The studio is operated by the artists and piercers and we pride ourselves on a serene and attentive atmosphere.”

From exceptionally detailed, large scale colour pieces, to striking blackwork, statement sleeves, tribal patterns, subtler fine lines, traditional style to realism, the finished results and works-in-progress Thomas Street Tattoo share on their socials — essentially a real time portfolio — are consistently spectacular. The team are also skilled at tattoo removals, just in case decisions of the past are no longer as good as you once thought they were. Inquiries should be sent via email or by calling the studio to talk through ideas and options.
