McLaren and OKX gear up for the first ever 'OKX McLaren Grand Prix Club' fan zone at Freight Island

From driving a race simulator to winning signed merchandise, the 'OKX McLaren Grand Prix Club' will supercharge the F1 fan experience, uniquely uniting the Papaya community for the iconic British Grand Prix.

The roaring engines of Formula 1 are set to be felt closer to home as OKX, a leading Web3 technology firm and Primary Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team, is hosting its first-ever fan zone and watch party for the British Grand Prix this weekend. Named the ‘OKX McLaren Grand Prix Club’, the event is hosted at Freight Island in Manchester from 11am – 7pm, Friday July 7 to Sunday July 9 2023.

Over the entire race weekend, fans will get the chance to try their skills on a race simulator, win prizes such as signed merchandise and exclusive tours of the McLaren Technology Centre. You’ll get the chance to glimpse the Alain Prost 1985 Silverstone GP first place trophy up close throughout the weekend, and displays of cherished McLaren memorabilia, including Lando Norris’ driver overalls and helmet, as well as car parts, will also be featured.

This event comes a year after OKX and McLaren Racing announced a multi-year partnership, establishing OKX as a Primary Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team and McLaren Shadow esports team. This partnership has seen OKX branding make appearances on McLaren cars, McLaren F1 drivers’ helmets, as well as the McLaren F1 and McLaren Shadow team kits.

The OKX McLaren Grand Prix Club’ opens its doors on the Mezzanine at Freight Island from 11am each day of the competition and free tickets are available to book here.
