Tasha Whittle Residency | 6th March till 7th April
Throughout our Spring programme artist, illustrator and Mill tenant Tasha Whittle undertakes a month long residency entitled LOSE/GAIN. Using objects and materials she has hoarded over the years she will give old items a new life and in turn gain a new perspective, body of work and space. Interacting with the public during Islington Mill’s music events Tasha will host workshops ‘Make/Take’ sessions and a hoarder’s ‘confession booth’ culminating in the opening of LOSE/GAIN on Thursday 4th April and all day hoarders market on Sunday 7th April.

Join One69a for an afternoon and learn how to screen print your very own tshirt using silk screens, water based inks and hand cut stencils.
Sat 9 March | Bohemian Grove presents Innerspace Halflife | 10pm | £10
Both known as prolific DJs as well as artists in their own right, Chicago Producers Hakim Murphy and Ike Velez have come together to form Innerspace Halflife. This will be the UK live debut for the duo who will also be spinning records till the early hours after the live set.

Brandt Brauer Frick bring their unique form of presenting techno to Islington Mill. Using classical instruments and combining jazz, techno and hip hop they create a musical identity that is quite their own.
Thurs 21 March | FutureEverything present Holy Other, WIFE, Tourist & Bearcubs | 8pm | £9.50
Holy Other showcases an ability to combine dark, lurching melodies with affecting pitched vocal snippets and hip-hop-flavored percussion. Joined by the dark haunted bass of WIFE (Tri Angle Records), the enigmatic Bearcubs and Brighton based Tourist.

Andy Stott performs a live set featuring material from widely acclaimed ‘Luxury Problems’. A Modern Love stalwart the Manchester based producer headlines a show that brings us PAN’s Lee Gamble and Rashad Becker, Chicago based producer Hieroglyphic Being and a set from much heralded Powell
Sat 23 March | FutureEverything and Resident Advisor Space Dimension Controller, Jam City & Saoirse | 9pm | £10
A leading figure in ‘Galactic Funk’, Space Dimension Controller blends psychedelic boogie and funk with a contemporary nu disco meets house sound. Also performing is Jam City, fresh from the release of ‘Classical Curves’ – a record conceived from the legacy of the great rhythm trak muziks: Chicago House, Detroit Techno, Grime and Club. With support from Resident Advisor’s Saoirse.

Classical Contemporary music group, Psappha aim to transform the way that people connect and experience arts and culture by performing live soundtracks to two silent films; Plan Of The City and The Bridge.

Inspired by the titles of Roald Dahl’s Tales Of The Unexpected this ‘Birthday Party’ will consist of cults, strange religions, superstition and April Fool’s mischief.

Video Jam is an exciting new experiment in sound and moving image inspired by the traditional use of live accompaniment to silent film. Taking short films submitted by local and independent producers and stripping them of their soundtracks allowing musicians/sound artists to experiment with a score.

Gesamtkunstwerk continue with their mission to bring a new kind of electronic night to the North West with the focus on sonic exploration and music from the experimental, bleeding edges of today’s diverse and genre-defying scene.
